Justin W. Bundick currently serves as managing director of artificial intelligence at Southwest Airlines. In this position, Justin leads teams of practitioners who can develop a spectrum of products that include capabilities such as process automation, data automation, traditional AI, generative AI, and agentic AI to enable faster, more consistent, and more accurate business decisions and actions driven by human judgment. With this digitally innovative area of responsibility, Justin’s latest focus has centered on the use of artificial intelligence and design thinking principles to drive human-centric products that enhance the day-to-day experiences of Southwest’s Employees and Customers.

Justin developed his personal brand as an innovator in data and analytics by continually introducing the organization to opportunities where digital innovation can be a competitive advantage for the Company. Over the past 16 years at Southwest, he led enterprise initiatives in multiple areas of the business including financial planning, portfolio management, business analytics, enterprise performance management, data science, and automation.

Justin was recently named one of the top 75 artificial intelligence innovators in Dallas-Fort Worth by Dallas Innovates, the Dallas Regional Chamber, and Dallas AI.

Prior to joining Southwest, Justin worked for EDS, an HP Company, focusing on long-term financial planning and corporate strategy. He is a graduate of The University of Texas. Justin currently serves as a member of the McCombs School of Business MSBA Advisory Council and is a proud longhorn. Additionally, Justin serves on several non-profit advisory boards.

He and his husband live in Dallas, Texas.
