With over two decades of experience in the travel and marketing industries, Monya has built a strong reputation for her expertise in data-driven marketing strategies and digital innovation. Prior to joining Rome2Rio, she served as a VP of Global Marketing at Expedia Group for over 15 years, where she directed integrated marketing and communications efforts for the company’s global travel brands.
Monya has received significant industry recognition, including being named one of HSMAI’s Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing. She also won a Silver B2B Marketing Award from the Association of National Advertisers in Thought Leadership for Marketing, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the marketing field. Earlier in her career, Monya managed B2B marketing and customer acquisition strategies at VacationSpot.com, helping expand the platform’s reach.
In addition to her professional achievements, Monya previously served on the board of directors for the U.S. Travel Association for 9 years and Destinations International for 5 years. She has also advised numerous industry conferences, using her marketing and travel expertise to help shape the content and ensure it met the needs of attendees. Monya is passionate about building and mentoring teams, helping team members and employees grow in their careers and achieve their professional goals.
She is a graduate of Western Washington University and resides in the Seattle area with her family.
